Until I read this story, I never knew about the lives of rabbits, and I never really thought to care about it either. It has changed my whole outlook on rabbits. .
Looking at the definition of a masterpiece, I see that a masterpiece is described as something done or made with extraordinary skill, a capital performance or a supreme achievement (according to the hyper dictionary). Looking at the novel Watership Down, it is evident that this novel has been written with an extraordinary skill. Adams has performed a capital performance and a supreme achievement. He has truly produced a masterpiece. "The greatest novel of all time,"" are the words from Time magazine describing Watership Down. Many other magazines agreed with this statement. There is almost no one present who has bad words to say about this novel. There may be negative attention or remarks from children, possibly because they may not completely understand the story. They may start off reading the story expecting childish themes, or they may simply think that since the story is about rabbits it is for children. In this case they are wrong. This remarkably written novel takes you to another place. It seems as if you have missed something if you have not read this novel. An author who can take rabbits and give them funny names like Bigwig, Hazel, Fiver, Strawberry and bring them to life as if they were real must truly be more than just a author. He has probably become a legacy just by writing this piece. .

Watership Down tells a story and makes you feel like you are part of the group leaving the warren. You grow to love and appreciate the animals, and soon you may start to think or find that their personalities are just like ours. The readers begin to relate in some way with the characters. You soon find yourself beginning to become hooked to the book and you begin to wonder what the future holds for the rabbits.
