Innocence and Experience

I want to write an essay on Innocence and Experience and how this theme related to the fiction story " Araby" by James Joyce. The story "Araby" is very sad story about a boy probably 12-16 years old who got his first experience in a love and perhaps in a life itself. It was kind of sad experience, which he realized in the end of the story.
James Joyce uses setting to set the mood detached from its neighbours in a square ground" starts James Joyce his story. of the story. "North Richmond Street, being blind, was a quiet street except when the hour when the Christian Brothers" School set the boys free. An uninhabited house of two storeys stood at the blind end. From the beginning the reader see that the story is not comical. The place, where the story occurs, is a street with dead end. The dead end symbolizes no way to go. He also writes that street becomes alive only when the Christian Brothers" School set the boys free. By writing that the school "set the boys free" and not that school dismisses the classes, he adding even more sorrow to this story. The words "set free" are used usually in contests with prison. .
The boy falls in love with the sister of his classmate. She is a little bit older than he is. And he dreams and imagines her all the time. Even when he helps his aunt to carry her bags during marketing. A market is a place where it is hard to think about romance.
"We walked through the flaring streets, jostled by drunken men and bargaining women, amid the curses of labourers, the shrill litanies of shop-boys who stood on guard by the barrels of pigs" cheeks, the nasal chanting of street -singers, who sang a come-all-you about O"Doonovan Rossa, or ballad about the troubles in our native land." Writes James Joyce. He uses setting again to explain boy's feeling to this girl. She is like angel to him. And even the setting like market place could not destroy her image, image of something holy and innocent for him.
