Courtly love

This subject is one that I have little understanding of. I am still young and haven't had the chance to really know what love is. What I have felt for girls I am not sure was love but more like puppy dog love, as all the elders call it. Love is what everyone struggles so hard for in this cruel world for, it is our ambition and for some, their sole purpose for being on this planet.
Marriage is a tricky thing in my mind, how do you know that you are going to love the person you tie the knot with for the rest of your life? How do you know that you will not have multiple people you love and who is to say that is wrong? How do you know that you really love the person you think you love? This subject leaves me with a whole slue of questions. The only way I can answer what I think is right and wrong about these 31 rules is by putting down what society has taught me what is right and wrong.
When it comes to the rule "boys do not love until they arrive at the age of maturity." I think that this rule is probably right, I don't think that you can know what love is until you are mature enough to understand it. Once you understand what love is and how it works and you"re not at the age when you think girls are yucky then I would say you have reach the age of maturity for love. "When a lover suddenly catches sight of his beloved, his heart palpitates." Whenever I have felt that I am possibly in love with a girl my heart has palpitated, I never knew that was the word though. This is a kind of soothing feeling of comfort that comes from your heart it almost seems. The only thing that worries me about this rule is it has to do with sight, the person is not supposed to judge there beloved by their looks only, so some clarifying to this rule should be done. "If love diminishes, it quickly fails and rarely revives" I believe this rule to be very true. I come from a divorced family and I know that when love ceases to exist between two people there is little that can be done to revive that love, not even the love for their children can revive that marriage or love.
