Romeo and Juliet

             .
The play Romeo and Juliet impresses deeply, not only because of the moving plot but also its deep thought. The story takes place in Verona, Italy. The main plot is as follows. Occasionally, the descendents of two ancient family enemies Romeo and Juliet catch sight of each other at a ball and can not help falling in love. After the ball, they joyfully swear their love for each other and decide to marry in secret. But their love is soon shattered, after Romeo kills Juliet's cousin Tybalt accidentally, which results in his the banishment. Things go from bad to worse after that. Juliet's father Lord Capulet quickly arranges Juliet's marriage with Paris whose social background is suitable to be her husband. With no one can be trust, she runs to Fair Lawrance, the godfather who married them, for help. They make up a risky plan, but unfortunately it fails and both Romeo and Juliet suicide for their love which ends the tragic story. Who or what is responsible for this tragedy? From one point of view, the hatred in human nature is the main reason, because first of all, the hatred leads to the difference between their social background, second they can not publicize their love because of their hatred, third the hatred leads to the death of Tybalt and Mercutio, who is one of Romeo's best friends.
The first obstacle of their love is their social background; their families are enemies and their parents hate each other deeply. At the beginning of the play, Shakespeare describes a fighting scene for us which indicates the background of the two families; they are both ancient but are enemies. This scene also sows the seed for the tragic end because love between enemies always leads to tragedy. The two families are enemies from generation to generation; of course their parents will not let their children marry their enemy just like a mother will not allow a person to marry the man who killed her father.
