Powerful Words

Have you ever heard those famous words, "Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it"? Perhaps you have heard this quote from a history teacher of yours. I've heard it from most of mine. I suppose you hear these words and you explore the thought in your mind. These words are plausible. In fact, they seem to make perfect sense. Perhaps you"d be surprised if I told you that those words were said in the book Mein Kampf, by Adolf Hitler. No, he wasn't the first to come out with the idea. But a person who was so powerful, but believed that blue eyes made a person smarter, said them. History is helpful to use and allows us to rethink what decisions we make, has helped many people worldwide, and is and can be applied in everyday life.
History has always been a powerful tool. When people who have studied it are making a decision in warfare, or other worldly problems, they analyze what has happened in similar events in the past. Even in other countries, people will learn from their mistakes. For instance, Norway's trade organization. Half a century ago forward-looking representatives from 23 countries adopted a system of basic rules for international trade. The founders had discovered a vicious circle of increased protectionism, economic stagnation, chaos and war (in that order). Against this backdrop, and to prevent history from repeating itself, they were determined to stimulate growth by creating a new order based on rights and obligations between States. And they did.
As all countries and nations start to adopt peace and general ideas for making this world work, everyone moves forward. Everyone on this planet is starting to come to the same realization: Horrible things can be prevented by just keeping a memory of past events and history. Even if the person who caused the trouble to begin with, can help make up for their mistakes by not repeating them. For instance, when America uses toxic chemicals in warfare, it creates toxic rain, and disbands the atmosphere.
