The Effects of Cellular Phones on the Human Mind and Body.
Cellular phones are one of the most useful, technological inventions of recent times. However, along with this convenience comes a great risk. Various studies are now beginning to link cell phone radiation emissions to the growth of brain tumors, along with other problems. With mobile phones being so immensely popular these days, precautions need to be made to protect unknowing customers of these dangers. However, the cell phone industry is trying to deny the research of radiation influence on humans. The fact still remains that cell phones do cause negative side effects, including cancer, and more innocent Americans are being affected every day.
While the cell phone industry has assured customers for years that cellular phones are completely safe, the industry's former research director has now come forward to say that this is not true. For the past six years, Dr. George Carlo ran the cell phone industry's $25 million research program, which has studied the effects of microwave radiation from cell phones. In a recent interview with ABCNEWS" 20/20, he stated, " We've now moved into an era where we now have some direct evidence of possible harm from cellular phones." What many of the country's 80 million cell phone users may not know is that cell phones send electromagnetic waves into users" brains. In fact, every cell phone model sold in the United States has a specific measurement of how much microwave energy from the phone can penetrate the brain. Depending on how close the cell phone antenna is to the head, as much as 60 percent of the microwave radiation penetrates the area around the head, some reaching an inch-and-a-half into the brain. .
Now that it is being proven that cell phones do emit radiation into the human brain, the question is: What are the possible side effects from this radiation? Until recently, major magazine publications around the world refused to print stories about cell phone side effects, in fear of causing panic over such a controversial issue.
