Teens

The area in which I"m studying is the average consumption of alcoholic beverages among teenagers, both male and female, between the ages of 14 and 17. .
The surveys were conducted at my high school, and were handed out randomly. To make the results more accurate, (as there was an uneven amount of males and females,) I narrowed down the number of surveys to an even number to 40 males and 40 females. This will better show the differences (If any) between members of the opposite sex.
Being a teen myself, I have been to parties at which alcohol is not an uncommon sight, and so I will not be surprised if the end results show that teens are using alcohol at an alarming rate. I personally know it's quite easy to attain, and unlike drugs, people assume it won't do any harm to their academics in school, or to their bodies. Therefore they probably use alcohol more often then the wide array of drugs available.
The unfortunate thing to alcohol is that with repetitive and consistent use, it can cause harm to a persons body. .
Some effects of alcohol may be as minor as , or as severe as death. Since many people are not aware of the long-tern effects of alcohol, it will probably be the drug most abused by teens.
People say they love the way they "don't care about anything" when they"re intoxicated, and so, many users aren't planning to stop drinking anytime soon, since many teens are using simply because they are "sensation seeking." Some scary statistics show that one of the leading causes of death among teens is drunk driving. I feel this statistic probably applies to adults to, but in any case millions of lives are affected by it, and so it's just another result of alcohol intoxication. In order to gather the necessary information needed, my class put together a survey based on questions about the use and abuse of drugs, alcohol and the internet. .
From the area of the survey in which I am working on, the questions asked were about alcohol.
