The magic of cats

Cats is one of the most different and charming shows you will ever see. Its not just another Andrew Lloyd Webber show, its so much more than that. It's also the choreography and the characterizations that make this a great musical, which stand out above the others in the crowd. I don't think there are many people in the world that have not had the pleasure of seeing the show Cats, or at least heard about the production. .
The whole musical can be summed up very simply thus: a group of cats come together every year for a celebration called the "Jellicle Ball." At this ball each cat sings about his or her achievements. The names of the cats, the achievements they sing of, their costumes that match their achievements and names.all these are fantastic!.
When I got my ticket and was standing in the reception of the theatre I was excited, very excited. This show has been on stage for over a decade. It has been performed in many top theatres in Broadway and, in fact, all over Europe. and I was waiting in the theatre to find my seat and spend the next two and a half hours watching this world-renowned production. .
Sitting in my seat I saw the stage and stared at a moonlit garbage strewn alley filled with the shattered remnants of human existence. A discarded tire, a torn nightgown and other cast offs of exaggerated proportions (as if from a cats point of view) lay about the stage to provide a playground for the "allegorical cats, metaphorical cats, romantical cats, and pedantical cats." It was very clever and, although a junkyard, it still looked magical. Lights trailed along the ceiling, from the stage to above the audience, which gave me a feeling of being closer to the cats. As if I were under the same spell as them. .
Their movements captivated me as one by one they crept onto the stage. Conjuring, sometimes lovely, sometimes tragic, sometimes electrifying motions, but always glorious. Almost too cat like were the arching of backs, the padding of paws, the percussive swatting and the fluid grace, I was bewitched!.
