Children Lesser God

Religion- the service and worship of god or the supernatural. Since the beginning of time man has based culture, government, and morals upon religion. This indicates that he has not advanced past the primitive need for religion; the only noticeable differences are technology and trends. Whether it be a loin cloth or suit, humans are still driven by primal instincts and the need for a belief structure to run there lives. Stop and think about it, if I told you that a platypus was in the sky and was shaking a huge finger at you telling you to be good you"d call me a nut and put me in a mental hospital, say I"m psychotic and put me on an addling dosage of Zanex, I see no difference when compared to Christianity or any other religion. .
Throughout the age of humans there has been countless numbers of gods, and for what reason? Religion is relevant to government because, what better form of a dictator than a god, impeachable and no chance for an assassination. He never dies and is the one and only true ruler, supposedly. For example look at the American government, quietly used in startling numbers is the reference to the Christian god, going unnoticed by the average onlooker, it has a striking resemblance to ads and commercials telling you that something is good without telling you aloud. If you think your less affected by advertisements then Joe somebody, you"re wrong, it's hard to pick up on these things even if you think you"re in tune with modern commercialism. The need for government is no different then the need for religion. if humans could get past this need we would truly advance. .
