Murder In Mississippi

The Blacks in Mississippi were afraid to register to vote because they knew that if they did the tests were almost impossible to pass. Also they knew that if they registered to vote that there name would be taken down and some how the wrong people would get a hold of there name and they would take action into there own hands and harm them or there family and that was the last thing that they wanted.
             2. I think that Jesus would not say anything to a church that did not support freedom for all people. I think that he would not even be in a church that does not support equality for all. If he said anything in a church like that he would probably say that he would not take part in anything like that, he would ask the people what they have agents black people and he would tell them to look beyond all the stereotypes and what not.
             3. Mickey, Rita and Andy were in Mississippi trying to help because they cared about what was happening and that they knew it was wrong and they wanted to change it and stop segregation and discrimination. They all where from New York City and there the blacks and whites had almost equal rights and there was a whole lot less discrimination than there was in the south. Also I think that they went down there because they wanted to be heroes and they actually thought that single handedly they could change the south and stop racism and promote equal rights.
             4. In the South the conditions in which the blacks were living were extremely bad such as they had almost no work opportunities, they all were either share croppers or worked for the white men doing petty work and got paid next to nothing. Blacks in the south had almost no education most of them did not even know how to read and when they tried to build schools for the black people they were burned down by the KKK and other supremacist groups. In terms of freedom the blacks where legally free but there were a lot of Black Codes (unwritten laws) such as blacks were not aloud in some places and could not do some things.
