Faith Healing

Others believed that medicine and faith healing should be used in conjunction with each other. At first most people who went for faith-healing were poor and could not afford it. The faith-healing movement gained even more popularity following World War II with the appearance of several prominent "evangelists" such as Oral Roberts. .
Faith healers rarely have any actual learning experience in their field. This is partly because there are no institutions that teach how to do faith healing, and because some believe that faith healers can only be "chosen". Usually, faith healers claim to have had an "experience" where they were somehow marked by God and given the power to heal. After the first experience, they then begin to heal, they consider this their experience. It is impossible to measure wether or not someone is actually a faith healer, this is because there is no set standard to judge them by. No one act of healing has ever been proven to and accepted by the medical community, therefore, if you claim to be a healer, then you are right in the eyes of whomever who can convince. There is no certification affiliated with faith healing and no proper establishments to administer or teach faith healing exist in Ohio.
Faith healing as of now is not considered a type of medical practice. It is seen as a form of therapy and relaxation because of its lack of medical facts and information to back it up. Unlike other non-conventional forms of medicine being developed faith healing is one that isn't being ignored. Over the next few years scientist believe that faith healing may become a conventional form of therapy. In fact several experiments are being done right now that use faith healing in conjunction with traditional medicine.
Initial visits with a practitioner of faith healing can vary greatly. One could go for one visit and be healed or go back numerous times until healed completely.
