Unite the right is when two parties (The Canadian Alliance and The Progressive Conservatives) combine and become one so that it is better competition for the Liberals. The two main parties involved in combining are The Alliances and The Conservatives.
             .
The leaders of the political parties are Peter Mackay, Bernard Lord, Stephen Harper and Mike Harris. Peter Mackay the Leader of The Tories had said "combining with The Alliances will be the right move" to have a fair competition between The Liberals. Bernard Lord the leader of The Progressive Conservatives of New Brunswick, with him running there's a doubt with him actually winning. Stephen Harper the Leader of the Alliances and Mike Harris the ex premier of Ontario, is the Leader of the Conservative Party.
Mr. Orchard, a western farmer, and is anti "Unite the Right". Mr. Orchard is angry because he supported Peter as long as they don't join together. He's only staying by Peter's side as long as the pc doesn't join with the alliance and since this unite the right is about it, he's mad.
The argument for a possible unification of the two political parties is that people like Peter Mackay, Stephen Harper of the are for "Unite the Right" while David Orchard of the P.C is against it and will lead up to obviously an argument. I don't think that this unification will lead to political success because the last election for premier the Liberals took almost half of the votes, and the year of 2004 I think the liberals will take it again, but you never know it will depend on the people who vote.
