what dreams may come

The very first social justice issue, the life and dignity of the human person, is an issue that is brought to life many times in this movie. First of all, Annie did not have any respect for her rights as a human being because she defied God and took her own life away. If you drag the "life" of a human into the afterlife, this issue is brought to life by Chris. When he realized that he could no longer be with his wife and soulmate, he was saddened and would do anything to help get her back. Even go into the depths of Hell to retrieve her soul. He carried out the life and dignity of the human person by trying to help his wife. I guess that the issue of the option for the poor and vulnerable would also fit in here.
The social justice issues of solidarity and participation are shown together in this movie. On earth, Chris had a happy family who"d do anything for each other, but when they were separated in the afterlife, he showed his call to participation in the family by trying to reunite them. Through sheer teamwork and solidarity, Chris, his son, and the gate keeper of Hell, were all able to work together and got Annie out of her Hell. They were reunited again in Heaven and were able to fully participate with each other in Heaven.
             ✠ Jesus" Teachings.
In this movie, the teachings of Jesus are constantly being broken and at times followed. In Hebrews 12:14, it talks about how it is necessary for the soul to be purified before it can enter Heaven. When Chris died, he went to purgatory to be cleansed so he can enter Heaven. When he finally realized that all his dreams could come true if he just believed, he put all of his trust into God and was finally able to enter Heaven.
The issue of Hell was very prominent in the movie. When Annie committed suicide, she committed a mortal sin and was cast into the fiery pits of Hell, as described in Matthew 5:20. According to Hebrews 12:17, once a soul enters Hell and rejects the loving grace of God, there is no chance for repentance.
