The vision Voltaire has is the best of all possible worlds to him. The world that Voltaire has created is a world of perfect harmony and brotherhood. In this country, you are your own king and have your own free will to choose whatever you want in life. This way of life is a utopian theory thought throughout all El Dorado. .
No one man or woman is understood to be higher or lower than the other is. Throughout the city, they wear the same clothes to not distinguish themselves in a sort style of class. The kingdom had a very advanced educational system, from childhood to adulthood; the kids are educated in school. When Candide and Cacambo enter El Dorado, they see kids playing around on the ground with rubies and gold. They think these kids belong to the royal family and that they must be very rich. The kids are taught from a young age that the riches of the world mean nothing. This idea is a belief throughout the country because there is no poverty among the people or towns and that they live so comfortably there is no infatuation with things that are not of worldly possessions. .
The reason everyone is never hungry is that the government pays for everything and everyone is fed as much as they want and it does not cost them a thing. As Candide and Cacambo found this out they went to a house full of people, they sat down and were served with so much food they could not eat it all. People in this country live to be very old and wise because they are so well treated, when Candide and Cacambo are brought to the sage, he is a 172-year-old man, which is the oldest in the country. He explains to them the many things about the country. This reference to the old man concurs that people can live very happy by living in El Dorado.
In El Dorado, Voltaire envisioned a community where there was no set form of religion that one must follow and no religious persecution. However, they did have religion it was up to oneself to determine what religion you were going to follow.
