war in iraq

War is a devastating phenomenon that nobody has been able to avoid indefinitely. Unfortunately for the sake of the tranquility of the world, people are still fascinated with this evolving concept. Each war introduces more magnificent technology and tactics than the previous. However, there are three aspects which have remained constant throughout history; government, one, has always been the most important aspect of war because it declares the wars and dictates to the military, two, what to do with the people, three. It is in that exact order, from most important to least, that this trinity functions. It is very important to bear in mind that if one of the three is removed from the union, then the whole war effort would collapse. There has to be a perfect unity amongst the government, military, and regular people so that the efforts of the country are concentrated fully on the goal at hand.
Government is the first among equals in this relationship with military and people. It is the ruling corpus which decides the cause of the war and the actions which will be taken to achieve this cause. Military must directly answer to the government so that checks and balances are present within the process. The government has to have a clear outline of what the purpose of the war effort is and it must not tolerate any individuals straying from the main goals. One example of a good government during a war effort is the NAZI government in WWII. Unfortunately, their cause was unjustified and violated many laws of humanity. However, it cannot be denied that Hitler organized a very efficient and focused cabinet. It took the better part of three years for the Allies to slow down the NAZI efforts in Europe. .
Military is the executor of the will of the government. The military must also be comprised of efficient workers and a diligent staff. If any aspects of the military are lacking in organization or conviction in their government, then the whole effort may crumble due to a weak military.
