In Another Country

In Another Country is a short story written by Ernest Hemingway. This story is based upon American soldiers that were wounded in World War I, and that by using some new machines that were just brought out to the market; they were supposed to do miracles with people. These new machines were tested on these wounded soldiers. False hope was the only things that encourage them to use these new machines so they can be normal again.
I liked this short story because is realistic, and shows the struggles that soldiers go through when all they want is to be normal again. Their hopes were based upon fake pictures that doctors showed them, even though they knew they weren't real .
This soldiers were braves man, because they use these machines over and over, even if their abnormal situation didn't get better This a really good example in how war does not benefit anyone, not even the side that ends up victorious; instead is the worse thing that can happen to human race.
