The other cop finally spoke.
"The alcohol fairy? I hope she visits my house tonight.".
I almost laughed out loud at how immature the men our taxes pay to "protect and serve" us conduct themselves while at work.
"Well I never told anyone I would give them a ride home tonight, and I didn't give anyone permission to sit in my truck tonight, so do you think the two people trespassing in my vehicle might have left it in there?" I asked, feeling like I was talking to a small child for even having to point out something so obvious.
"They say it was in there when they got into the vehicle, and you already told us it's your vehicle, therefore you are responsible for it." He replied, in a tone that showed how annoyed he was with me for refusing to admit anything. I could tell he felt that he had spent enough time arguing with me, and did not feel like working anymore that night.
Just then the school cop approached to see what was going on. This was really bad news for me. The school cop just happened to also be one of the hockey coaches, and I was going to try out for the hockey team a few weeks later. Dover had the best team in the state, and the coaches took the team very seriously. Getting playing time, or even making the team, is not easy. This would be a very quick way of getting on the coaching staff's bad side. The school cop was a tall thin man, wearing a shirt and tie, with a long black coat that fell below his knees. He stuck his face right in mine, so that our noses were almost touching.
"You got one *censored*in chance, punk, one *censored*in chance to tell me where you got that alcohol!" he shouted in my face in a voice that he was obviously using to attempt at sounding tough. His breath smelled horrible and I really did not like him shoving his face into mine and screaming at me. I would not have minded so much if I had actually broken any laws.
"I just told these other guys, that's not mine.
