President

"I not only use all the brains I have, but all that I can borrow.
In the ninth grade I held a position in Class Office which was President. As Class President I really enjoyed helping my fellow classmates. But this year I feel as though my help should go beyond just my class mates but to the entire school. For that reason I am running for Student Government President of the 2003-2004 school year. .
I have a lot of other reasons for running for president, and one is school spirit. I really have a lot of school spirit and I want to be held to its highest as it has been in the past. I want to be involved in Teacher Appreciation Day , the things that make so special and different. I also want to keep the rest of the school interested in helping one another and keeping Western safe. .
Another reason for running is because I love working with a team. When working with SGA you are working with team to make sure things go as planned. I really think that I am a good team player in words that I am always willing to take suggestion. I also know that SGA is like a family, you have to commit to it for it to work. Committing to it is what I am prepared to do. Hard work, long hours, and maybe some headaches here and there are worth becoming president to me. .
Lastly I have a lot of ideas when it comes to SGA. There a lot of new programs that I would like to get started. I would like to start something where students will be more involved in school at the end of the day. I have a lot Homecoming dance themes that I think would be interesting. I would like to start something where students could suggest things that they would like to see or want to happen. .
I have seen those who have come before me in SGA and I plan to withhold the things they worked hard to get accomplished. I will withhold the name of the SGA and of Western at all times. In conclusion I leave this quote. "The function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.
