             Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior used by an individual to establish and maintain coercive control over his intimate partner. Domestic violence consists of physical, sexual, psychological, and or emotional abuse. Abusive partners use tactics such as Coercion and threats, Economic Abuse, Using Male Privilege, Using Children, Isolation, Emotional Abuse, Intimidation, Minimizing, Denying, and Blaming, Physical Violence, Sexual Abuse.              a. Pregnancy is suppose to be a time of peace where the family turns it thoughts towards raising the next generation and growing a healthy baby. Unfortunately for meny women, pregnancy can be the beginning of a violent time in their lives. Domestic abuse and violence against pregnant women has immediate and lasting effects. While some of the complications you might suspect are present, such as immediate injury to the woman or her baby, there are also other effects on the pregnancy.
             b. Many women who are battered during pregnancy will continue unhealthy habits due to stress, such as smoking, resorting to drug use and improper nutritional habits.
