Howard Dean

            Howard Dean, The presidential candidate.
In the last few years, America has suffered a great economic downturn and terror threat. Since the last election in the year 2000, not too many improvements haven occurred. Thousands of people have lost their jobs especially in the manufacturing sector. We went to war with Iraq without strong evidence of Iraq's connection to the Al-Qaida terror network. There are many things that went wrong but can hardly be changed. We definitely need a change in our home and foreign policies and therefore it is very important who will be chosen to be our next president. While we have considered multiple candidates, democrats and republicans as well, and after carefully reviewing the policies of the different candidates, we have decided to write about a democratic presidential candidate, Howard Dean. We will try to convince you to make a reasonable donation to his campaign by presenting to you the following issues that Dean will strive for. .
One of the reasons why we feel that Howard Dean should be our next president, and the reason we are asking you for financial support of his campaign, is that Howard Dean's economic policy is proposing a two-year $ 100 billion "Fund to Restore America-. The Fund is designed to create more than one million new jobs that would have both the short and long term effects on our economy. Funds would be distributed to the States that have been hit the hardest by the economy downturn. Some of the money would go to improve homeland security while other funds would be used to improve infrastructure including roads, schools, electrical and telecommunication systems. The Fund includes financial support of disadvantaged and minority groups. Its projected that African-American unemployment rate had climbed from 8.2 % to 11.2 %, which means that four hundred thousand more are without job since President Bush took the office. One out of three African-Americans that are in the work force are unemployed.
