Decide if John Adams or Thomas Jefferson would be more likely to hold such a position "if he were around today with his basic views unchanged. .
I think John Adams and Thomas Jefferson would both be politicians today. John Adams is a lot like the Republicans today; they support capitalism and the wealthy and are close with the British. Thomas Jefferson would probably be around today too, he's more like the democrats; he supports the little people, wants to tax the wealthy people and would probably be in favor of social programs.
             2. Decide if you are more of a Republican or a Federalist based on the political philosophies of the issues discussed in class. .
It's hard to tell if I would be a Republican or a Federalist, the topics the candidates were debating weren't really relevant to today, but if I had to pick a party I would probably pick the Federalist. The Federalist supported the British and today I know that the British are probably our closest ally. The Republicans also seemed to think that taxing the wealthy would be better for America, but we know that the wealthy spend the most, so giving them tax cuts will give them more money to go and spend, eventually giving are shops and businesses more money. .
             3. What single issue of the campaign of 1800 has the most relevance today?.
I think the issue on what side we should take with Britain has the most relevance today. If we had taken a different road and decided to not stay close with them we wouldn't be the same we are today. Britain is one of our closest allies, we work side by side in the fight against terrorism and without them we would probably be less safe. .
             4. What was the greatest personal strength and weakness of each candidate?.
I think each candidate had a number of strength and weaknesses. Both candidates strengths were that they were both well spoken had a good vocabulary and had excellent manners.
