Me Myself And I

It is all about my feelings, my pleasures, my happiness, and me. It is all about me even when things have noting to do with me. Any decision I make in my life or any thing I do shall return some kind of happiness or pleasure back to me. It is all about me - because I will not function normally any other way. I hate pain and suffering and the only time I willingly put up with it is when I obtain something back that makes me feel good about myself. I am constantly thinking how to make myself happy. Do you recognize me now? Yes, I am "the human" - the most social and intelligent being, a psychological Hedonist, and I would like to prove this. I believe all humans are psychologically constructed and preprogrammed to seek (selfishly) contentment and pleasure while avoiding both pain and unpleasantness through their entire life. .
As humans, we are full of selfish emotions, to love and hate, to have compassion, and feel both pain and pleasure. These "capacities" are preprogrammed within our genetic code but to some degree are also learned from experience,. Let's us look at a two years old behavior. Dr Steven Shelov MD and his associate Dr Robert Hannemann MD in their book, Caring for your baby and young child, mention:.
During his second year, your toddler will develop a very specific image of his social world, friends and acquaintances. He is at its center, and while you may be close at hand, he is most concerned about where things are in relation to him. As you can imagine his view of the world (technically, some expert call it egocentric or self centered) makes it impossible for him to play with other children in a truly social sense. .
Sharing is a meaningless term to the child this age. Every toddler believes that he alone deserve the spot light. (259) .
As we can see, even from the very early age, before anyone has taught or showed us any thing - we come preprogrammed to behave in a certain way.
