Marriage Interview

After a year of their marriage, they left Mexico and came to the United States. And they became whom they are known as now.
I then asked, "does God or religion or spirituality play any role in your marriage?" They told me no to the question but they then reiterated. They told at first it did not but after they got married they realized that they were closer to Christ and God through the sacrament of marriage. But other than that there was not much there to do with spirituality that they did not do before. I followed this question with "how has each of you grown and changed as a result of being married?" He stated that she was becoming more like her mother. She said that at times he behaves like a three-year old child. But one thing they said that they have in common is that they have become a little wiser. They've learned to handle difficult situations more appropriately than before. .
From here, I went straight to asking, "what are some of the most rewarding things you have encountered?" The very first thing they mentioned was the birth of their daughter Emma. That day was the most special day in their lives. They believed that they were fortunate to have children. Thomas recollects the moment when she was born and how he felt when he held her in his arm. He was full of joy. Maria was happy but exhausted because of the length of the labor. He took three weeks from work to help take care of his child so his wife can recuperate faster. He helped with the feeding and changing of the child along with household chores. When he went back to work, he would make time so he could come home to spend time with his family. This is what task three is about, becoming a parent. At first, Maria spent most of her time with Emma. But after about two months, they were able to make time for them to spend together without the baby. As Emma got older, it became easier for them to spend time. Another rewarding thing was the success of the family in life.
