Medical students always learn the real steps of operation from "unearned" experiences such as surgical document films. From those films, medical students can clearly know what they will be facing when they actually do operation because TV provides "real" images while they are considered "unreal". Same concept also applies to other aspects in life. Those experiences open people's eyes and expand their knowledges, and it helps the decision making process in real life. Hamill neglects all the advantages can be taken from unearned experience. Unearned experience makes one's life easier by preventing them from making serious mistakes and showing them the life ahead.
             Study shows that illusions are affecting young childern's decisions on reality, but this cannot describe the big picture. "Fully one-third [of four- and five-year olds] said they would give up Daddy [ to television]." Hamill takes this Michigan State University study as limited evidence and concludes that TV as a source of unreal experience dominates young people. We should not take this study as accurate because a four-year-olds child cannot even calculate a simple addition, it is impossible for them to distinguish between right and wrong. Moreover, if similar question is asked them to choose between their friends and their parents, they will probably choose their friends because their friends never hit or yell at them, whereas their parents usually do. Certainly we caonnot conclude that friends are bad. We can only conclude that child at this age doesn't know what is right.
