Valium


            
             Valium is a prescription drug originally use for relief of anxiety. It is a Class C drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act (1971). Valium is traceable in urine for up to 7 days. Also used in accommodation with endoscopic procedures, skeletal muscle spasm associated with local pathology, cerebral palsy, stiff-man syndrome, tetanus, status epilepticus and severe recurrent convulsive seizures. It is also a useful relief of skeletal muscle spasm, such as inflammation of the muscles or joints, or secondary to trauma. Some of the nicknames for Valium are: Valo, Vals, Valley girls, Valums, Vs, & V.
             Side effects most commonly reported were drowsiness, fatigue, ataxia, and venous thrombosis and phlebitis at the site of the injection. Other less common side effects are CNS: confusion, depression, dysarthria, headache, hypoactivity, slurred speech, syncope, tremor, vertigo. Cardiovascular: bradycardia, cardiovascular collapse, hypotension. .
