I ask myself the where, why and how questions when I hear that someone has passed away, even if I don't know the person. As well as being one of my biggest fears death also strikes my curiosity. Where will I be when I die, why will I die and most importantly how will I die? As simple as those three questions are they can never be answered until the time of death, which is why I find death frightening. .
In addition to being horrific, death is also sometimes unpredictable and unexplained. A person can wake up early one morning, say for work, and not have the slightest idea that when they get in their car they will be hit by a person who has been drinking all night and decide to drive home drunk. On the other hand, there are also those people who just don't wake up one morning, passing in their sleep. Dying in ones sleep is the best way to go, for the reason that the person does not suffer. Whereas drowning is probably one of the worst ways to die considering that a person struggles to stay alive while trying to keep themselves above water. .
Other terrifying ways to die are being shot, being attacked by an animal, getting hit by a vehicle, but the worst way to die is to by on accident. In other words, a person was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. .
In closing, though out my 17 years of living I have learned that death (not dealing with health problems) is a circumstance that not one person can predict. As easy as it may be to lock ourselves up in a room to prevent from accidental dying it would be like running from our problems and running from our fears. .
