Animal Rights

There is no reason for animal cruelty. Dog fighting, neglect, and horse racing have been a problem for many years. Most of the time it goes unnoticed.Dog fighting happens in many states. Yet illegal, that doesn't stop people from harming dogs. Dog fighting is usually held by gang members as a way to make money and show power. Pitbulls are most commonly used to perform this bloody game. The owner will take them as puppies and pump them full of steroids to build their muscles as they grow. When the dog reaches one year in age, it is trained to practice killing pigs so they adapt to the blood-kill aspect. The dog later then gets put into a pen and is challenged by an experienced dog. The owners usually let them fight until one dog cannot fight anymore or eventually kills the other. While taking bets on whose going to win, the owner of the losing dog will give the dog anti-shock to keep the dog alive so he can fight another day.Neglect affects all animals, but we mainly see it in common house pets. Dogs are disgustingly neglected everyday. People don't realize pets are a huge responsibility. You need to take care of an animal as if it was your child because that's exactly what it's like. They need fresh food; water, shelter and love everyday, but unfortunately some don't get to feel that experience. Owners will leave their dog outside for days with no shelter and with the same food and water. That leads to starvation, fleas/tics, fur mattes, infection, and eventually death.
Horseracing is considered cruelty to some people also. Most people look at it as entertainment. I personally don't find it entertaining. Although hardly heard of these trainers will inject the horses with speed so they will run faster and not get tired as easily. To prevent the horse from bleeding caused by the jockey pulling on their bits, the horses are given a lasek, which clots their blood. Blood clotting causes the blood not to flow efficiently from the hoofs to the thighs.
