The Atari 2600, what more could you have wanted when you were a kid growing up in the 80's. The Atari 2600 had the best graphics of its time and it also had the game, too. The Atari went to become one of the best-known game systems of all time. Even though the Atari had its ups and downs it still held through on some terms. The only reason why is because of Never Winter Nights saved Atari. Though they never would have been able to do it all unless the 2600 had never sold, because the Atari 2600 was just a figment of the team's imagination until they realized how the stand-up arcade game Pong brought them money. Pong was one of the most played games because one it was addictive and two because it had about no end. .
The Atari 2600 is the game system that played games like Galaga and many others it came out in the late 70's early 80's. It was what most of America wanted. This is the largest product besides Pong that came out of Atari. The Atari 2600 was the first game system that people could have in their home and play for free. Which was more convenient then going out to an arcade place and spending a lot of money for a game of Pong or one of the few others that were out during that time.
Also one of the many played 2600 games was Galaga. Galaga was fun also because it was addictive and it had color and nice graphics for that era. The game was real easy to play and learn, because of the easy controls and easy to operate the joystick during the game. That is one of the many elements that allowed the game to be so great. Just like many other games on the Atari 2600.
Gaming for all of the old Atari 2600 games were awesome to play because they were very addictive and fun.
