The Chase

It was a dark, scary night in the town of Mulberry. A man who was mad at himself for losing all his money in stocks was in his house. He decided to pay a visit to his neighbors, since he knew that Jenna's parents were gone. .
Jenna, who has blond hair, brown eyes, thin brown eyebrows, and is very sweet and kind but sometimes sensitive, and Courtney, who has olive skin brown hair, brown eyes, dark eyebrows and can sometimes be a tease, were alone in the house, watching movies. Suddenly they heard a loud thump at the front door. They jumped up as their hearts raced. Courtney bravely opened the door as Jenna armed herself with the shovel from the fireplace. .
             "There's nobody there," Jenna said.
"Let's split up, search the premises, and meet back here in 10 minutes," Courtney said. .
             "Okay," Jenna replied .
When Courtney arrived back to where they were supposed to meet, Jenna had not arrived back and Courtney was a few minutes late herself. Courtney waited very impatiently and every minute her heart raced faster and faster for fear that something had happened to Jenna. Courtney could not wait any longer so she searched the house high and low, inside and outside but Jenna was no where to be found. Then, Courtney heard a loud scream from the basement. She ran down stairs to find Jenna tied. A man with a black mask grabbed Courtney from behind as she was running down the stairs. .
Courtney struggles for a matter of seconds and reaches for the closest thing near her. She knocked him over the head with a broken leg from a wooden chair. The man fell to the ground moaning.
"Hurry Courtney, come untie me. Hurry he's getting up".
"I'm going as fast as I can." .
Courtney loosened the ropes enough so Jenna could slip out. They both rushed upstairs and ran to the closest bedroom and locked it. .
"Okay Jenna, we have to think of a plan to get out of here.".
"Why don't we climb out the window and grab the limb that's hanging by the window, then climb down the tree," said Jenna.
