It appears the long barrows are in prominent places on the monument, and it the existence of previously existing ancestral sites in the area. The line of the ritual of rites of passage could be associated with this, the monument would be the development of liminal zones and visibility of long barrows which would be linked in the ceremony and ritual of the times and thus creating a new group of federations.
