Theory of Negotiation and Conflict Resolution

             I believe everyone has different ways to deal with situations in life. Bargaining is something that I take as an aggressive, depended of the situation where I am. I tents to stay behind my principle, as well as my values or believes. Nevertheless my senses of humor help me in does cases that I see myself without of words or way out to a continuo with the bargaining process. On a one to one I work better than in a group at time, depend of what I am dealing with at that moment. .
             I see myself aggressive/competitive and at the same time collaborating/avoiding situations. .
             .
             What I would like to get from this course is the knowledge to deal in different areas in my work with the different personalities, to be more open minded.
             Getting the knowledge to become a better person, to help other people that are in need of a listener than a judge. With an a assertive personality, this way we can get to a pacific resolution of the problem or to compromise for some satisfactory differences.
             At work are more than two conflicts -management style that I use. Probably because I deal with different types of personalities and no everyone will react the same. I have learned that is better to gait right time to deal with a situation that to embark in a discussion that will not go to be productive. Assertive/Empathy as well Substance/Relationship are the two that I most used at work. Yes, lessening to find a Yield way where all parties with win/win solution or perhaps a compromise situation.
             At home is more like Substance/Relationship, and other times is Self/Other then again depend the situation or the problem. Most of the time the kids are the one that has to deal with the problem and I have to be the negotiator to bring the paces in the house. For past experience I have been in the way of us all style. Assertive/Empathy, Self/Other, Substance/Relationship and is not easy to deal. .
             Just the good people that have the skills of a good listener can become a good mediator.
