Free Will

Everybody asks themselves or other people what will happen tomorrow. Everybody is interested in the future whether it is to prepare for something or to change something. People want to know when they will die, how they will die and whether or not they are able to prevent it, or will they have good or bad fortune. If we were able to see into the future and we did not like we saw would we be able to change what was going to happen or are our futures already written for us to carry out. Like actors and actresses on a stage performing their parts, Shakespeare said "all the worlds a stage". Do we have a free will or do our actions happen because of another cause. Is our will less free because of our beliefs, Or are we given beliefs so that we are controlled. Do we have to look into the past to find the answers, are there parts of our history that we will never be able to find out about, or are the parts that we already know enough for us to look into. It is known to a lot of historians that we have a massive chunk of our history missing like for example, the Mayans were handed knowledge from some ancient civilisation so they were able to map out a yearly calendar, who was this civilisation and where was it from. The Bible is a very important part of our history; it is known that the Bible is made up of two parts. One is not true while the other is the truth, does this hold the key to our future. If we can uncover this, then can we find out what our origins are, then maybe we will know our purpose and what the future holds for us. .
             Stoic Philosophy.
Stoic Philosophers were the first from the classical world, to come up with the idea that the mind had a physical body and form. This was one of the most important theories to have come from Greece. They believed that all mental states were controlled by the soul, which was a gas. This gas would be spread throughout the body and was able to detect information.
