My Attempt to Stop Procrastinating

I ended up leaving early from our team banquet to make it out there relatively on time. On top of that today was my birthday and when I got home I had absolutely no interest in trying to do my homework. I wanted to spend time with my family and celebrate. I ended up staying up really late but still finishing my homework for the next day. The previous weekend we had state and we took Thursday and Friday off from school which put me behind in school. First I have to complete the homework that's due tomorrow so that I'm not getting a late grade on something that can be on time. I would rather get a later late grade on something that was excused than to have two things late. I'll put off this procrastinating thing until tomorrow. .

             I've noticed that there is a trend to my procrastinating. I went through and read my last entry last night and realized that I'm putting off not procrastinating. So when I say "I'll put off this procrastination thing until tomorrow" in reality I'm really just procrastinating even more. Since tonight was Halloween and I had just gotten grounded, tonight was the perfect night to start. Or so I thought. It was all going well and I was busting out page after page. Until my dad came home and we got into an argument. After that I obviously didn't want to do anything that had to do with work. I got distracted on my computer and was constantly checking my phone. At that point I was trying to find something to do other than homework. Anything, I ended up losing track of time and realizing it was 11 o clock pm. It wasn't a problem getting it all done. I just had to sacrifice some things to get there. Like my sleep. This affects how I will perform all day tomorrow. It's that whole domino effect. My whole goal is not to completely stop procrastinating because when I procrastinate I create me time and down time for myself which is helpful. Rather I want to be able to finish everything and be productive and get to bed at a reasonable time.
