A Study on Bus 100

In one confined space with a dense amount of young, many with different opinions and personalities, how is it that conversations did not spring up and ran rampant? .
As the bus continued on, we continued as well in our observations of others. People have no idea how amazing it is to observe something so carefully as an outsider because we usually immerse ourselves in the environment rather than notice the events unfolding before us. From time to time, we take buses minding our own business, thinking about what we are going to do after reaching the final destination: what homework is due tonight; should I ask him or her to have dinner, etc. Now, here we are, watching people chat, laugh or silently putting their earphone on and gazing out on the street just as you or I did few days ago.
The bus was like a portable campus caring lively symphony of voice from block to block compared to the nearly empty and quiet muddy void of a field outside. It seems people are more interactive on weekends rather than weekdays, faces look more relaxed and joyful, the topics are more social rather than academic. The most common icebreaker between individuals was, unsurprisingly, "how the party was last night ". We even saw some people still with their ill faces indicating their passing out on parties or feeling uncomfortable about the heat on the bus. We saw people bragging about their new basketball sneakers, they must be really rich or just really indifferent about getting their new shoes wet and muddy. The guy on the right corner stretching his arm towards the shoulder of the girl beside him trying to hit on her? The couple on the left kept focusing on the phone screen, tapping and cheering, probably trying to refresh their highest score on the latest "flappy bird " game. A muscle man holding on the bar with a book on his other hand looking a little bit blue, maybe some character he really liked died in the previous chapter? A group of people constantly adjusting and making comments on their own colorful beanies trying to cheer themselves up on this gray and rainy day.
