Aspects of Nature in the Poems of Mary Shelley

" This is reference to death. .
Shelley also refers to the west wind and its relationship with the earth, sky and land. He also references fire, urging the wind to spread his words among mankind. In having the reader visualize this, to me this is what gives the wind power. The wind is the force that has all the power. It moves quickly and can either destroy or be a very pleasant experience. Because without the wind, there would never be a spreading of diseases or floods. The wind can be responsible for as he states the cycles of nature, growth, destruction and death, the wind really does have a great amount of control when you stop to think about it. "Angels of rain and lightning: there are spread, On the blue surface of thine airy surge, Like the bright hair uplifted from the head," Here is where Shelley talks about a storm that's coming, and the wind stirring up. He makes a reference to hair lifting up from someone's head, to show how fierce the storm is going to become. .
In Shelley's Hymn to Intellectual Beauty, the concept focuses on humanity and nature. The beauty and awe of nature is something humans cannot control, they may be able to destroy nature sceneries and put up some big building but they will not be able to kill the beauty nature will provide. Throughout the poem, the speaker seems to love nature and enjoyed being out in it. He speaks of power not known to man, a shadow, that visits and drifts away. He also makes some suggestions to the wind, and connects the power of the wind and the power of nature as one. .
In his poem "Hymn to Intellectual Beauty", right from the beginning he describes the beauty and awe of nature. Its a power that no one can hold onto. He speaks of "The awful shadow of some unseen Power Floats though unseen among us." The word awful is used to demote "awe." He likens the power of the wind to this unseen force that swings through all aspects of life, death, regeneration, preservation, and destruction.
