The majority of people cannot understand why our life is so difficult and what happens after death, but all people believe in the fact that afterlife exists. Death contributes to be an obstacle which all people should take over, as this is the only thing separated all people on the earth not depending on their religion from eternal and happy life. Besides, people speak in this connection about the separation of body and mind. After death our spirit departs from the body and from the present world and moves to another world where all spirits are living. But different religions consider this process differently. There are two main categories which should be taken into account while analyzing different religions, such as some religions believe in reincarnation of the soul into a new form of living being. This form of new existence may be inverted into not only human, but also animal form, and is not random, but based on how you lived your life while you were alive. Other religions do not believe in reincarnation, but still focus on an afterlife concept. .
This difference is important for the analysis of the life after death in different religions. For some people, especially in Western countries, the death is a kind of a taboo, as people are afraid to speak about it. Some people think that if they do not talk about death they will be able to escape it. But it is not so in fact, as death is an inevitable issue present all over the world and in any religion. Christians, Jews and Muslims "believe that each person has only one life, but that the soul survives death to live on in either heaven or hell for eternity"" (Keene, 2002, p. 82). People experiencing these religions consider the fact that every soul needs judgment.
Points of view differ in this case, as some religion claim that this judgment is received strictly after death, while others think that the soul needs some time to receive it.
