He finds rose petals scattered along a road. It could only mean one thing, Marluxia is back! Marluxia takes off his Hood and explains to Sora that Xemnas is going to take each and every person's heart and he will rule the world soon. Sora fights him alongside Riku and Quasimodo but before Sora can finish him off a golden key blade is hurled at Sora knocking him unconscious. Sora finds himself in the Realm Of Darkness.
As he wanders he comes across Aqua. She asks if they had met before, and before Sora can answer she says "Of course, your that boy Terra spoke of." He asks if there is a way out, and she said "if you follow your heart the light will show you the way". After she said that, Sora's heart opened a portal to the light. He is back in Notre Dame in the tower. He is seen laying on the bed while Mickey and Aqua are reminiscing on the past. Sora couldn't contain himself, he leapt out of bed to search for Claude Frollo. He runs down the stairs and sees that Judge Frollo and Xemnas are discussing the plans for the Organization. Xemnas leaves taking the portal to the realm of darkness. .
Sora faces off with Judge Frollo just outside the doors of Notre Dame. Judge Frollo has a demon by his side that attacks Sora. Sora uses the D-link he has with Mickey and Mickey exhumes the Demon, Sora drops Claude Frollo to the ground and he is left there dissolving into Darkness. Sora bids Quasimodo and his other friends goodbye while him, Riku and Mickey are on their way to the next world. Sora flys back to Disney Castle because he has a strange premonition. He goes back to King Mickey's personal room and speaks to King Mickey and Riku. .
He wants to know what is a secret place for Xemnas. What is a place that he seeks solitude and rest? King Mickey considers that The Land of Departure is a good resting place for Xemnas and his plans might lay there. But Sora isn't that vulnerable. He doesn't believe that anything lies there.
