Movie Summary - One Year in the Life of Crime

            It is interesting to see how many people get lost into the television watching the randomness of different shows. So many people get entertained by the easiest things, the good thing is that from some episodes of shows I guess you can learn a thing or two from it. What television really needs to show is this film One Year in the Life of Crime. This movie is an extreme eye opener and it really gets the audience hooked into watching the whole thing. This movie shows you all of the downfalls that drug abuse can have. This film is one of the most accurate in describing the life of a criminal and ones that are particularly addicted to certain drugs. The people in this film Rob, Fred, and Mike all know that what they do is wrong and they discourage other people from ever doing it, yet they themselves find it extremely hard to leave behind that way of life that they have grown accustomed to. It is saddening to see people actively throwing their lives away to such idiotic things. All of these people were once talented and young people who would have been to accomplish things the right way had they set their minds to it, but due to the harshness of their lives they gave up and decided to go with the easy way out and went for the cop out of using and selling stolen goods. It is wrong to do all of these things but they have become so numb to what they say and do that to them it is more of a daily, and normal routine. No one ever thought that people would go through extreme measures in order to fulfill their high when one is addicted but in this film they show us through what extents two of these men went through in order to get their drug. Not even the stolen goods that they would sell would get them enough money to buy all of the drugs that their body demanded in order to reach the high that they desired. It is a sad film but it truly teaches the bad things about drug abuse and how one can end up by continuously making the wrong and illegal choices in life.
