Review of Midwestern State University's Gym

The highly-celebrated Bruce and Graciela Redwine Student Wellness Center is a remarkable addition to the many recreational opportunities available at the Midwestern State University. This building is about 51,000 square feet, has two floors, an outdoor area and is located near to the school's campus. A lake is situated right next to the center which contributes to a calm, relaxed atmosphere. This center exceeded my expectations. It offers the basic services one would expect from a wellness center and more. It definitely has something for everyone. .
While approaching this wonderfully designed architectural structure, the interior of the center is immediately clear. The glass walls circling the building allows people to get a peek of some of the workout machines available and also an idea of what to expect without even entering the building. Upon entering, the Vinson Medical Center is immediately seen. However, the entrance to the gym is located on the left. The basketball and volleyball courts are the first activities to view through a long glass window on the way to the front desk. The gym assistant checks the student identification cards before accessing the center. The cleanliness of the first floor and the organization of the machines are remarkable. The entrance to the locker rooms are also located on this floor. This section leads to the swimming pool area. The design of the pool reflected the modern look of the building's architecture. It has a unique, squared shape with beach chairs and umbrellas complementing it. It also has a lifeguard on duty which signifies the importance of the safety of the students. This section is mainly for aquatics purposes. It also includes an outdoor volleyball area. .
Inside the building leading to the second floor, there is a multipurpose room with shiny, wooden floors and mirrors which extends the walls. This room hosts fitness classes such as Spin and Yoga.
