            The essay to follow will help you understand what the concept of popular geopolitics is through the use of the country Swaziland as an example. This essay will cover what the common perception of Swaziland is through personal argument as well as interview analysis. The concept poplar geopolitics will be defined and two examples relating to Swaziland will be provided. Also, it will be conversed the ways in which these examples can have more serious implications. .
             Through brief field surveys multiple people were interviewed on their perception of Swaziland. The interviews were performed on different occasions, and the people being interviewed had no idea this country existed much less did they have a clue as to where it is located. Of the people being interview, majority concurred that Swaziland has no big building and that it is made up of natural land. As argued by Isabella, an 18 year-old student at College, "Swaziland has many good dancers, is much like Hawaii, and therefore is very tropical ". In another interview performed a college student stated "Swaziland sounds like a place that is very natural and is home to indigenous people " (Lopez, 2013). .
             It should be added that people do not know much about this country, not even it's location. People would think that Swaziland is mostly dry land and that there is no advanced method of transportation such as trains, buses, or highways. Also, their perception would be that since the country is so small there is not much diversity in the land and people. As previously mentioned, the interviews were performed on people that had no idea where Swaziland is located. After stating their first perception of Swaziland, the interviewers were revealed the location of the country. The majority of the people interviewed viewed Swaziland in a different way. Their perception were very similar to what Stephanie, a graduate from Broward College, had to say.
