Bearing Arms in America

Guns are weapons primarily made for protection when facing danger, ever since the war periods. Like everything man made, guns have its disadvantages, especially when in the wrong hands because it can be misused, immediately, going from protective weapons to murder weapons. Guns can promote violence or enforce order and safety in certain places like a bank if seen with a police or any law enforcement agent and at the same time could cause problems if it was seen in the hands of a masked individual who ran in the bank demanding for money. According to the second amendment of the United States constitution, it states that, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed". This gave citizens in the United States the right to own a gun, hence making everybody a victim, who means anybody and everybody is in danger of getting shot at anytime.
In America, guns are usually used to promote violence which is commonly seen in movies, video games and music videos, which influences kids to carry a loaded weapon in schools causing murder and suicide. Teenagers usually from the ages of thirteen to seventeen are more vulnerable because they seem to be going through a series of things that can be seen in their characters. It is almost certain that every year shootings are going to occur in different cities or states. On October 10, 2007, a fourteen year old shot and killed four of his fellow students in his high school, Success Tech Academy, and then took his own life. The student who was known as Asa H. Coon (the shooter) had a violent history, from getting suspended for trying to stab his classmate to getting suspended for fighting. Unlike most high school kids plotting an attack in school campuses, Coon was not taken seriously when he threatened to stab everybody and blow up his school. In modern America, high school teenage males are not the only people suspected of having campus shootings.
