The Spanish Day of the Dead

To complete this assignment, my whole class attended this event called "Dí de los Muertos" " in Spanish, which is "The Day of The Dead" " in English. This event is a time of celebration for Spanish and Mexico. The meaning of this event was to provide people an opportunity to rejoice in the living memories of their loved ones. Although the name is a bit scary, this event is sort of an happy event as it actually serve as a positive affirmation of the cycle of life and death, which allows people to reconnect with the spirits of their loved ones on the "other side " of the world.
So I attended this event willingly and the fact of my curiosity but not because of it is compulsory for us. The event started sharp at 7pm on 4 of November and located at Nigh University Centre, UCO. By the way, the real date for this event is on 1st of November to 2nd of November annually. I meet up with Weng and Austin before we let ourselves participate the event. There are people with weird ghost make up at the entrance giving tickets to the people whom are attending the event. It makes me feels like Halloween, but more likely to be Spanish Halloween. .
By the time we got into the hall, people already crowded the whole place. Even the waiting line for food was so long until it goes to 2 lines just for food. Patiently we waited for the food, following the line. Finally we all got our foods after 20 minutes of waiting. The foods were all Traditional Spanish foods, which included onion salad, nacho chips and sauce, Spanish fried rice, and a beef dish that I don't know the name of it. We sat down among our classmates and started to eat. The performance began as we started eating. The first performance was a singing performance performed by a female professor. I don't really know what she was singing, but from the face of her, I am guessing it was a sad song. Accompanied by the lovely sad song, we slowly enjoy our food.
