Religion and World Views

            
             The worldview of people is the way they interpret reality and events, including images of themselves and how they relate to the world around them (pg 120). My worldview is shaped by my religion (pg 126) which is Christianity (pg 134). Everything I do is based on my religion and knowing that I am being watched over by God and that he sees everything I choose to do. I believe I am on this earth because God died for my sins and created me putting me on this earth. In the Christian faith we believe that the gravest problem in human life is sin which is the failure to live in harmony with the will of God. As Christians we also believe that when we die we either go to heaven or hell depending on how loyal you have been to what the bible says to do and what God wants us to do. I believe I am on this earth to spread Gods word and make people aware that he is not dead and will someday return. I live everyday making sure I am doing what he called to me to do and my choices always are determined by if I think God would want me to do that because I want to someday go to heaven and rejoice with my family members that have passed away before me. Another worldview I have based on my religion is that I believe everything happens for a reason. I believe that God has a plan for me and that even in hard times it is only to make me stronger and that it is all planned. .
             2. VALUES.
             I have many different values (pg 174) in my life. One of the main things I value is time (pg 178). Time is a valuable commodity, something to be measured and used wisely (pg 178). I believe time is really precious and everything we do is using time. My big dream is to travel and I would always have conversations with my dad about how if you have a lot of time usually you don't have money and if you have a lot of money you don't really have the time to use it. Time is very valuable. There is a movie out I have seen recently that is called In Time and in the movie instead of money being the currency it is actually time to live.
