Tickets to New York City

I've always wanted to go to New York. That's all I ever talked about wanting to do. I finally got to go when my Aunt and Grandma got us three tickets to New York for my birthday. They told me we were going to be staying in Time Square for a week. I couldn't believe it; I was so excited! May 28, 2013 was the day we left for New York. I remember having to stay overnight in Dayton at my aunt's house because we had to leave at 5:00am the next morning to pack and head to the airport. I remember I couldn't sleep that night because I was too excited thinking about all the fun things we were going to do. I mean I had dreamed of going to New York forever and now it was happening. Soon enough it came time to get up and I had about an hour of sleep so on the way to the airport I fell asleep in the car. We finally arrived at the airport. We found where we were boarding and then checked in our bags. We had about an hour until it was time to board the plane so we sat down at a restaurant in the airport and ate breakfast. It seemed longer than an hour but they finally called us to board the plane and I jumped out of my seat ran over to board the plane. Once we got on and found our seats they told us all the rules of what to do in case of an emergency. Then they told us we would be in New York within a few hours. That's when it finally hit me that I'm really going to be going to NYC. The place I have been dreaming to go every year and it was happening! After a few hours we landed in New York and all I really remember was rushing through crowds of people trying to find their bags. They were pushing us, getting in front of us and my first impression of New Yorkers wasn't very good. We had just got there so I wasn't going to let it bother me. We found our bags and then walked outside to get a taxi that took us to our hotel we were staying at. The hotel was really nice and our room was on the very top floor so we had an awesome view.
