The Biblical Epic of Jacob

             In Genesis chapter 27 it gives another example of how canny and sneaky Jacob is because he pretends to be his own brother in front of their father and when Isaac told Esau that he was the one he wanted to bring game to him so he could bless Esau. When Jacob's mom, Rebekah, heard Isaac tell only Esau this she relayed it to Jacob. Jacob then goes and does that then brings the game to his father and tells him that he was Esau. His father had a feeling that was telling him that it is Jacob's voice, but his hands were so hairy his dad believed it was Esau and then blessed him. His hands were hairy but if Isaac would've examined the rest of the body he would have then realized that it was Jacob instead of Esau. Jacob was a man that didn't have much hair on him. Jacob had stolen the blessing from Esau and when Esau got there he told his dad he had prepared some food and Isaac was very angry about this and says, "Your brother came deceitfully, and he has taken away your blessing. " (Genesis 27:35) Esau was sadden by this and also devastated when his father tells him that he has no blessings left. He wept to his father and asked him if he had a reserve blessing and Isaac got a blessing from God and blessed Esau. At this point of time Esau hates Jacob for doing those vicous acts just so he could be better than him. Rebekah heard that Esau was thinking of a way or plan to kill Jacob. So Rebekah told Jacob to flee to her brother in Laban in Haran, and to stay until Esau's rage and fury was completely over with. When Jacob left for Haran, and he stopped for the night because the sun had went down. Jacob found him somewhere to sleep and had a dream that God would always be with him. After that moment Jacob thought his luck was about to change.
             When he got to Haran, he met his Laban and his two beautiful daughters. After meeting the lovely ladies Jacob then falls in love with Rachel the younger daughter and makes a deal to serve Rachel for seven years.
