ERP Implementation Success

            There are certain axioms in life about which we have not any choice, but to admit: We have to grow older. We all need sustenance. We cannot survive without air. Financial independence requires that you expend less than you earn. Implementing ERP is a hard task " maybe the hardest one you will do in your profession. That is an illustration of a truism from the first group.
             The steps to ERP accomplishment fall into the second group. One has a choice to accept or ignore the actions, but that does not alter their fundamental truth. Overlooking some of them does not doom you to definite failure, just as not everybody who smokes gets lung tumor. But accepting all of them and acting consequently will guarantee that you are carrying out that you will be proud of, maybe not instantly but may be at later stage of your career. The intent is to make flawless the risks and the reimbursements such that you can make a conversant decision about where you devote your time and resources.
             As a matter of fact that many ERP selection plans fail to achieve their purposes or worse, fail utterly, it's critical that firms establish the process, starting with the selection of a project leader. This individual will be responsible for driving the entire assortment and implementation.
             Planning.
             Planning creates the foundation for effective project controlling and a quality implementation. It forces you to determine the most operative methods by which the system can be executed. It forces you and your VAR (partner) to agree upon a particular unified approach. It classifies what steps must be implemented by whom and in what order. Planning also enables communication amongst all parties so that all stages of the implementation can be successfully monitored. Finally, it drives you and your VAR to create certification and training options and resources specific to the people functioning the system.
