Biography of D. W. Griffith

             During the first year Griffith was an actor on "Biograph" studio. In 1908 settled in the studio "Biograph." Griffith became a screenwriter and then a director. Griffith's directorial debut was a short unpretentious story called "The Adventures of Dollie", filmed in 1908. The Scenario that was given to Griffith was considered at the studio as an absolute failure. At that time, "The Adventures of Dollie" had already been used in the other movies. Typically, a wealthy family goes to a picnic. Someone repute the five year old girl from the family. They hide her in the barrel than put her into the tent which falls into the water. Usually, at the end the girl rescued. After this work everybody could see the Griffith's talent as a director. Griffith had the ability to work even with the hardest scenarios and to grab the audience's attention and make simple story into the interesting thriller. .
             No wonder that after this picture, which has become a real "blockbuster" summer season of 1908, Griffith became the chief director of the studio "Biograph.".
             Later, Griffith creates different styles of video recording. Which people have never seen before. His First art of style is Close-up and parallel assembly.
             A close-up  is a type of shot, which tightly frames a person or an object. Griffith loved to work with psychological drama. It was absolutely his style to show character emotions. From the first years of work on the "Biograph" Griffith is trying to pass on a screen of human relationships. .
             Initially, interest to the character feeling and his relationships with others Griffith showed unclear but later he becomes better. In 1908 he began to use several discoveries that shocked everybody in the studio. For example, he first decides to use the dramatic view close-up - in the movie "For Love of Gold", filmed by the famous story by Jack London.
