My strong desire to become a successful researcher in industry or the academia has driven me to enroll for the Clemson University's graduate program. I am aware of the impact, the US Universities and the industries have on the current research in Computer Science and I am fully convinced that the graduate program at Clemson University is the next sensible step towards the realization of my career goals.
Admission to Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, one of the best technical institutes in India, provided me an opportunity to excel in the field of Computer Science. Programming languages have always fascinated me and continuous exposure to them has deepened my interest in the field of Software Technology. However, of all the subjects and the technologies that I have ever taken up, Computer Networks, specifically Wireless has always intrigued me the most. Interest in Networking Technologies was initiated when I took the subject of Computer Networks which further deepened by telecommunication networks within Distributed Systems. With the increasing popularity of mobile devices, Wireless Technology has given its users the mobility to move around and remain connected to the network. It is taking the present world to the next level and, is the future of infinitesimally small-embedded devices to the giant machines in every field.
Inclination towards research emerged while working on my summer internship at Vakrangee Softwares Limited, a major company providing e-governance services. The project 'Geographical Information System Based Election Management System' was an Election management system displaying various statistical data upon a GUI (Graphical User Interface) based on Geographical System of Maps. This system used information retrieval and data mining techniques to retrieve data and display the same on map based GUI and helped in deciding the election strategies.
