Speechs of Indian Prime Minisiter Narendra Modi

At some points Modi made different remarks like in allphones arena Modi use sports like cricket to connect India with Australia and also highlighted some famous Indian origin people who have dedicated their lives to Australian name. Modi also stated in his Allphones arena speech that India is responsible for investor's quality of life but no such remarks made in Madison square. He also highlighted Swami vivekanand words in Allphones arena but not in Madison square. So we can say that there are only few differences between Modi speeches.
             Are Modi speeches a publicity stunt or Public Relations?.
             Opposition parties in India criticized Modi for his speeches and labeled them as a publicity stunt to gain fame for himself. However, it is pertinent to see his speeches as public relations because Modi through his speeches was expecting support for the ideas and vision that he has provided for the development of the country. He also sought more contribution of NRIs towards the Indian economy and also foreign investors to come and invest in India.
             At first, we must understand what is PR? As Sam Black perfectly defined "The fundamental purpose of PR is to establish a two-way of mutual understanding based on truth, knowledge and full information". .
             PM Modi was successful in delivering his speeches at Madison square and Allphones arena and has got succeeded in gaining people's support for himself. Both the speeches were in Hindi and made huge impact on the people.
             We can justify Modi's speeches as public relations by the some public relations principles –.
             (1) Successful/ Persuasive Communication.
             Modi was aware of his audience at both venues. The audiences were foreign investors who can use India's human resources or cheap labour and can get low cost production and also Indian born/NRIs. Modi appeased NRIs by showing his achievement so far back in India, inviting them to return back to their homes and contribute towards the nation's growth.
