Beowulf


            Beowulf and Shane are two similar stories. Both have important people yet the settings are in total different places. Beowulf and Shane both do a good deed for their society.
             Beowulf lived like an animal. It mostly was outdoors throughout the story. Violence was very common because Beowulf wanted a good reputation with everyone. The story took place in Europe in about the 1880's. In the story Shane, Shane is the main character.
             Beowulf and Shane are heroes in these stories, not just because they are so commonly seen in the story, but for what they do. Beowulf saved all the violence by killing Grendal and his mother. Shane was being hassled by some cowboy by the name of Chris Calloway and he slammed him at the bar.
             The examples below are results of good versus evil. Beowulf fighting Grendal and Shane fighting Chris Calloway. The two good people are Beowulf and Shane. The two stories are nothing alike in the setting or environment, but still come together with two men that are good, against two man that are evil.
             Without good people in stories they wouldn't be interesting. It would just be bad guys ruining everything. The good people make it exciting and the best of all is them winning, ending the story with happiness. In concluding these stories they conflict with eachother very well and Beowulf and Shane are two great examples of conflicting. .
